Blue Wins It All: Your Season 1 Champions

MBL Season 1 has a champion, and it wasn't the easy road anyone expected.

Semifinal 1 delivered the first shockwave: Purple, the #4 seed, knocked out Pink — the #1 seed and the team with the best regular season record in the league — in three games. It's the exact kind of finish the regular season foreshadowed with its own last-week upset, and it happened again on an even bigger stage.

Semifinal 2 wasn't much calmer. Blue, seeded #3, needed all three games to get past Green, the #2 seed. Green had led the regular season standings from Week 3 all the way to Week 6 — a genuinely tough team to eliminate, but Blue did it anyway.

That set up a Final between two teams who'd each already gone the distance once. Blue and Purple split the first two games, and once again it came down to a decisive Game 3 — Blue closed it out 4-1 to take the Season 1 title.

Every single series this postseason went 2-1. Nobody got swept, and nobody had it easy — including the champions themselves.

Individually, Kitty Hammer (Purple) actually led all players in playoff combat score despite the runner-up finish — 83 across six games, the best number of anyone in the postseason. Blue's own Zombie Arm was right behind at 81, with Rogue Warhead rounding out Blue's contribution at #3.
