Whale Saber Takes #1 — And Black Keeps Falling

Five weeks in, there's a new name at #1. Whale Saber overtakes both Chaos Scythe and Rogue Warhead to claim the top individual combat score for the first time this season — the payoff of a playstyle that's been quietly climbing the board for three straight weeks.

It hasn't been a story of pure kills, either. Whale Saber's line this week — 12 kills, 2 deaths, 10 assists — might be the single best all-around performance of the season so far.

The bad news continues for Black. The team that opened 2-0 in Week 1 has now dropped to 4-6, a stretch of going 2-6 across the last four weeks. Whatever clicked in Week 1 hasn't been there since.

There's a redemption story to offset it, though: Purple, who opened the season 0-2 alongside Red, has clawed all the way back to 6-4 — good for a share of second place. Green remains the clear league leader at 8-2.
